Voices of Women is an international, student-led organization that aims to amplify the stories of inspiring women from around the world. We strive to uplift the voices of the remarkable women we come across, whether they are heroes from the past, or the locals who keep the wheels in our world turning.

Hayeon Kwak- Founder

Hi! I am currently a Senior at Northern Valley Regional High School in Old Tappan, New Jersey. I love going on walks and taking pictures and spending time with my family! Growing up, I was surrounded by strong, empowering women, and I started this organization hoping it would empower others, like how the women I met inspired younger me.

Katrina Anete Šveide-

Poland Chapter Leader

Hi! My name’s Katrina and I’m from Latvia, but I’ve been studying in Warsaw, Poland, for quite some time now. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, hanging out with my friends or doing something creative. I’m also very passionate about economics and how our world is changing, therefore I’m very excited to have an opportunity to share inspiring women’s stories especially in those fields!

Jessie Cho- Project Coordinator

Hi, I am currently a senior at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan, New Jersey and I am so excited to be a part of this project! Specifically, my mother has inspired me to speak out and empower the women surrounding me, as well as myself, which has led me to this program! I love hanging out with friends and family, listening to all kinds of music, and performing it on and off stage with others! I hope to inspire the next generation to keep working for their hopes and dreams, as others have done for me.

Owi Ghugre

Hi, I’m Owi! I’m a senior at The Shri Ram School Moulsari. I love reading, cooking, travelling, and listening to music. Though I currently reside in India, I’ve moved around a lot throughout my childhood, which has exposed me to several different cultures. Through this platform, I’m so excited to share the stories of the amazing women who have inspired me throughout my life.

Haeum (Stephanie) Lee

Hi! I am currently a junior at Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan. I like baking, listening to music, and doing projects with others. I am very interested in society, especially about women. I got inspired by many women I met throughout my life, both in South Korea and America. Through this project, I hope to share about women’s stories and empower others as I used to be empowered!

Tina Zou

Hi, my name is Tina Zou. I currently reside in Vancouver Canada and I go to a private all girl school. I am a passionate writer, passionate singer and a woman activist in the community around me. I am so excited to join the team and to share the stories of incredible women in my life!

Julia Szymańska

Hi, I'm Julia! I'm a student in Warsaw, Poland, going into my second year of IB. I love reading, playing video games, and spending time with my favourite people. I have always held a passion for writing, and I am very excited to be able to share women's stories in this project.

Jana Louise Nukui

Hi! I'm Jana and currently a 12th grader studying in a Chinese school here in Davao City, Philippines. I enjoy reading, baking, travelling, and most importantly, being with people I love. I've always been a storyteller and loved to share my own stories and am excited to now be able to share other women's stories and experiences through this project as well.
